Compost Queen was created as an extension of an independent student research project by Camila Guzman at California State University Channel Islands. The vision was to implement compost strategies into urban and suburban settings as a way to mitigate some of the negative effects of climate change. We are committed to raising awareness about food waste, composting and regenerative agriculture. We believe that every person can make a big difference through the very act of composting.
Once Upon a Watershed is a non-profit, hands-on local watershed education, restoration and stewardship experience for Kindergarten, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in the Ventura River Watershed.
Watersheds and agriculture come together in the soil.
