Trees for School Kids Program

   

Program Description:

This program provides incentives for schools to plant trees with their students. Food, shade or native trees are all suitable choices for funding through this program.

 The CRA will provide expertise in choice, location and planting of trees. It will also provide fifty percent of the funding for tree planting as well as a photograph for each student with their tree and a pledge for them to sign stating that they will visit and care for the tree regularly over a five year period.

To receive a "Trees for School Kids Program" grant, schools must provide a location suitable for tree planting, a water source, students to do the planting, fifty percent of the funding for the tree planting project and a commitment to care for the tree for five years.
